At Birdhouse we believe in doing things the easy way.
We’ve developed processes that integrate financial data through Quickbooks Online (QBO) that simplify posting and digital receipt storage. We’ve made life easier by digitizing common financial transactions.
We use Wagepoint to pay employees and Plooto to pay vendors or receive payments. Our cloud accounting processes accommodate teams that collaborate remotely, signatories can digitally sign cheques anywhere in the world, employees can be paid by direct deposit while working from home. Easy!
Let the robots organize data! We should be outside.
We love how QBO can be our cloud data storage for all our accounting transactions - everything in one place. Take a photo with your phone & chuck all the paper receipts into a shoebox and never have to organize a thing, let’s use QBO for that.
Ok, ok, we admit it, sometimes we do have to post things manually from spaces like shared email accounts and cloud drives to make sure things are managed properly, and that’s perfectly fine too.
Everyone has to work indoors somedays.

We’re a little different at Birdhouse.
Our company was founded by a bookkeeper / artist / designer / music maker & jack of all trades. Their experience in art & design gives them an appreciation for fine details & useful technologies. They bring creativity to all the projects they work on, even bookkeeping.
They’ve worked as a bookkeeper for 14 years and began their journey bookkeeping while acting as a director of an artists’ run center.
Since that time they’ve worked with industries ranging from artists, designers & art galleries to hair dressers & psychologists. There has been non-profits & cooperatives to construction contractors & heavy machinery operators. Throw in a few retail shops & restaurants, and there was one spa & health club. Oh, and let’s not forget our friends that drive transport trailers, or run forestry cooperatives or the ones that farm!
